Memory Fragments

This is a 2D hand-painted piece created for the exhibition “I Left Behind, a Home,” curated by the Department of Visual Communication, Bezalel. The exhibition presents interpretations of the new reality of the survivors and evacuees after the October 7 massacre.

This painting on clay fragments depicts landscape scenes and glimpses of community and family life in the Gaza Strip Envelope. The tone reflected from the work expresses longing, but at the same time it also expresses optimism in the white background, that still has room for new memories.
